Project: Kerr Rd Sewer Trunk Main
Scope: Installation of 1,140m of gravity sewer including pipe-jacking, 32m open trench construction, sewer manholes, fittings, micro-tunnelling, connections, full reinstatement, testing, and integration with existing sewer mains.

Construction of a new sewer trunk main in Thurgoona was completed by ATD Civil Group, designed to connect existing sewer infrastructure and enable the decommissioning of two pump stations, reducing ongoing maintenance requirements and improving network reliability.
Works comprised installation of trunk sewer infrastructure incorporating deep excavation and trench support systems up to 7.5 metres in depth. Microtunnelling was utilised for a significant portion of the works to minimise impact on existing flora and the surrounding environment, maintaining sensitive ecological areas.
Activities were undertaken in proximity to existing sewer infrastructure and within areas affected by groundwater, requiring careful sequencing and control measures to manage construction risks and maintain system integrity.
Delivery was critical to the commencement of adjacent works within the area. ATD Civil Group maintained program alignment through proactive coordination, ensuring timely delivery in line with broader project requirements. Integrated sequencing and risk management ensured safe and efficient execution.
