Rutherglen Wine & Cycle Trail

Project: Rutherglen Wine & Cycle Trail

Scope: 1.3km concrete shared user path including pram ramps, culverts, and road and path signage

Construction of shared user path infrastructure formed part of the Rutherglen Loops project, a 23km wine loop connecting local cellar doors and enhancing active transport connectivity across the region.

Works included approximately 1.3km of 2.5m wide concrete shared user path, incorporating pram ramps, culverts, signage, handrails, and bollards, along with widening of 330 metres of existing path. All works were delivered in accordance with Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) standards and technical guidelines.

Non-destructive digging (NDD) was undertaken along Main Street to locate existing services and enable safe construction adjacent to live utilities.

Works were undertaken within an active road environment under traffic management conditions in accordance with DTP requirements, maintaining public access and safety. Delivery was carried out in a safe, efficient, and controlled manner, minimising disruption to road users.
